Who We Are

Food Marketing Association is a Registered Student Organization within the Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University. Our focus is on providing the students involved with social and professional experience with industry people within the Food and CPG realm. FMA hosts many different companies a semester, usually once a week. We meet every Thursday evening at 6:15 p.m. social events to follow.

What is Your Favorite Part About Being in FMA?

"I really like the community aspect of the Food Marketing Association. It feels like one big family. FMA is a great way to make a lot of friends as well and provides you with connections that will last a lifetime. Also, I really enjoy the exposure students are given to employers and professors. The relationships you build with the professors in the program combined with the friends you make help you feel like you're apart of a family."

Taryn Knop

Happy Friday Foodies! This week we would like to feature Taryn Knop. Taryn is a senior in the Food Marketing program with a minor in Analytics. She will be graduating this spring. Her favorite FMA memories include her trips to Thailand and Las Vegas. She loved having the opportunity to present and to make it to the final round of the NGA Case Competition. Taryn has interned with Kroger. She has received the Kellogg Food Marketing scholarship as well as the Kroger intern scholarship. Post-graduation, Taryn would like to do analytics working for a retailer. Some of Taryns hobbies include spending time with friends and going to the gym. She would also like to add, “I am so thankful for the program and everything it has to offer. The opportunities are endless and I would not be where I am without the support of our professors and fellow students.” Please join us in congratulating Taryn on all her accomplishments.
